Jagprit Hear

Dentale Tutors - GDC No: 79765

Since qualifying from Kings College in 2001, I have attended many postgraduate courses instilling in me the confidence and knowledge so that patients receive the foremost treatment, whether it be a simple tooth coloured filling or the most demanding full mouth cosmetic rehabilitation. I was one of the first people in England to attend the new revolutionary Fastbraces course which allows teeth to be straightened in only 3 to 10 months! My ambition to stay at the cutting edge of dentistry has led me to complete a year long implant course in Manchester which lead on to a sinus/ bone grafting course at the Royal College of Surgeons in London. I enjoy socialising with family/friends and can’t believe how quick my children grow! Apart from my children I have two passions in life, Liverpool FC and cars. One leads me to despair and the other one will probably lead me to financial ruin.

Raid

Raid Ali

Dentale Tutor & Dentist - GDC No. 105572

I graduated dentistry from Baghdad, Iraq in 1996. I then immigrated to the UK and finished my International qualifying exams (IQE) in 2006 so I could practice dentistry here. I have always been passionate and ambitious about my career in dentistry and so continued to take further exams to increase my knowledge.  In 2010 I completed further exams to become a member of the faculty of dental surgeons (MFDS) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Following this I also completed a post graduate diploma from Cardiff University, which has also helped me to develop and expand my knowledge as a practitioner. During this time, I have found my passion lies within implant dentistry and am looking to complete a masters in implantology to build on the learning I have already completed in this field. I am happily married and have 4 children, three girls and a boy, so not only are my hands full at work – we are quite a busy household too! Not to mention out-numbered by the ladies in my life! I wouldn’t have it any other way. I often get involved in charity work, be it taking part in charity runs or helping at refugee camps, such as the one in Calais, and am humbled by the support of colleagues who have often taken part and helped me with this. We spend more time at work than we do at home, but when you love what you do it doesn’t feel like a job. Helping my patients is what I love and being able to put smiles on their faces brings me great joy.

Alex

Alex Antoniu

Dentist – GDC No. 224765

I was born in Bucharest, Romania. At the age of 14 I moved to the United States with my family. While in the United States I focused on my education. I received a Bs in Cognitive Science from University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). I then went on to receive an Ms in Biomedical Sciences from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. I did part of my dental training at one of the best dental schools in the United States, the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in Pennsylvania. I then completed my dental degree in the fall of 2010 at one of the best dental schools in Romania, University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila”, Bucharest. This is where I also met my lovely wife, Lorena, who specialised in Oral Surgery.
Throughout my career I have been privileged to work alongside dentists with great experience and I was able to learn from them and implement their teachings in my treatment plans. I enjoy restorative and aesthetic dentistry. I constantly attend postgraduate courses and conferences, which has allowed me to improve my knowledge and skills and meet experts in different fields of dentistry from all over the world.
I always put patients’ needs first. I try to put patients at ease by listening to their concerns and discussing all possible options so that they can make an informed decision regarding the treatment that is right for them. Where appropriate, I strongly believe in conservative and minimally invasive dentistry. This ties in perfectly with Invisalign because the natural dentition can be preserved without any irreversible changes to the teeth. For this reason, I decided to pursue orthodontic training and I became an Invisalign Provider in 2016.
I am very passionate about my work and at the end of the day, I would like all my patients to have a healthy and beautiful smile for life.

Constant growth and development is important to me personally and currently I am continuing my studies through Cambridge Academy of Dental Implantology for Msc. In my free time I love to explore new places and culture in the beautiful UK and all around the globe. Spending quality time with my family and friends is very essential for me and it gives me an extra boost in energy for lasting success in my studies and work.
