Jason Buglass, BDS England

Jason Buglass has been providing implant dentistry since 1993, and has placed thousands of implants since then. He lectures in the UK, having successfully run courses teaching implant dentistry since 2000. He attends national and international congresses . Jason is currently involved in organising and leading the UK courses for Versah®. Jason is an advocate of accurate guided surgery and advancements in this developing field.

Mark Lester, BDS (Bris), MFD RCS (Ed), MSc (Manc, MPros Ed) Specialist in Prosthodontics, MFDS RCS, Scotland BDS, England

Mark is originally from Manchester, he graduated from Bristol University in 2000. He spent 2 years working at Plymouth Hospital as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a period at Cardiff Dental Hospital as a Senior House Officer in the Restorative Department. Following this he undertook an MSc in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at Manchester University followed by specialist training in Prosthodontics leading to an MRD. Mark has been actively involved in research both in resin bonded bridges and the effects of Carisolv gel on deciduous dentine. His study on the latter was published in 2000. Mark now lives in Harbourne, Birmingham with his wife and young son. In his spare time he enjoys being with his family and playing the odd leisurely round of golf.

Ee Ying Ooi, BDS (Glasgow), MJDF RCS (London)

Dr. Ooi graduated from the University of Glasgow Dental School with Commendation in 2008 having excelled academically. She was the recipient of the John Hunter and William Hunter medals and received Certificates of Distinction in almost every subject throughout the course. After a year of vocational training, she then undertook the position of Senior House Officer in the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Department in Derriford Hospital, Plymouth. During this time, she completed the necessary post-graduate exams and became a member of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, London. Since 2010, she has worked as a dentist in general practice in the Bristol area. She is enthusiastic about continually updating her skills and knowledge to keep abreast of the advances in dentistry. In 2012, she completed the Advanced Implantology Course in Dentale and is now working towards a Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies at the University of Bristol.

Dr Jim Toms, BDS, DPS, MSc

Jim Toms has been placing implants for over ten years. Jim is one of the few dentists in the Bristol area to limit his practice entirely to implant dentistry. He has lectured to general dentists on the techniques and benefits of implants and implant treatments. To date, he has placed over 1000 implants and holds a Master of Science degree in Implant dentistry from the University of Warwick.

Medhi Abrishami, Dip Dent Imp (UCL)

GDC No. 77366

Mehdi is the principal dentist. Graduated from Royal college of Dentistry Aarhus university in Denmark in 1998. He was then awarded at UCL a University Diploma in Dental Implants in 2012.

He has undertaken a 4 year long Implantology course at Eastman dental institute in London where he has achieved a Diploma in Implant Dentistry. Mehdi’s main interests are surgical and cosmetic dentistry.

He is committed to furthering himself in the field of dentistry and as a result he is attending many courses both national and internationally.

He is an active member of British society for restorative dentistry, Association for Dental Implantology UK, Member of international team of Implanatology and a Member of British Dental association.

Dr Daljit Sohal, BDS

GDC No. 69745

Dr Sohal BDs graduated from the Royal London Hospital in 1993. Since qualifying he has established Dental Surgeries in High Wycombe and North Hillingdon.

He has worked as a Clinical Assistant at Kingston NHS Trust in the Restorative Dentistry Department to the lead Restorative Consultant. From here Dr Sohal BDS developed his interest in Implant Dentistry. Since 2003 he has attended many lectures and courses in Implant Dentistry.

Dr Sohal BDS completed his yearlong course in Surgical and Restorative Implantology. Daljit joined the Dentale team in 2014.

Eugenijus Vladimirovas, D Stom Kaunas 2007

Eugene graduated in 2007 from Kaunas Medical University,
Lithuania. Since graduation he started working with patients
that had the need for complex dental treatments involving
dental implants. In 2011 he moved to the UK and worked as
NHS Dentist in Somerset. Eugene joined Dentale Bristol
team in February 2015. Since October 2015 he also works at
another private practice in Bristol! If you require an honest
advice about any dental problem or quality dental treatment
– he is happy to help.

Zoe Louise Wray, BDS, MFGDP (UK), MSc (Dental Implantology)

Dr Wray is a general dental practitioner from North Staffordshire. She has owned a mainly private dental practice since April 2006 and has been undertaking implant work for the last eleven years. She has recently gained an MSc in dental implantology from Salford University. Zoe is passionate about dental implantology and has previously lectured at the ADI Team Congress. Zoe was the postgraduate tutor for Stoke On Trent for 12 years.

Rachel Worth, Registered Dental Nurse 2007, Middlewich Dental Radiography Certificate

Rachel is the Business Development Manager and Treatment Coordinator for Diana Dental and has recently joined us to provide both our Treatment Coordinator and Reception courses. She has been working in dentistry for 19 years and is keen to help to incorporate and expand the treatment coordinator role in every practice and helping to tailor the role to each practice individual needs.

Jag Dhanda, BSc(Hons), BDS(Bris), MFDSRCS(Eng), MBBS(Lon), MRCS(Eng), FRCS(OMFS), PhD

Jag has obtained a Medical Research Council funded intercalating degree (Bachelor of Science) and is both medically and dentally qualified. He has completed his dental vocational training and has worked as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in both Bristol and London. He then went on to complete his Basic Surgical Training in General Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Accident and Emergency and Urology in East London followed by his Higher Surgical Training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the West Midland rotation. He has dual membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MFDSRCS, MRCS and FRCS) and has also completed a PhD in Oncogenomics, Transcriptomics, Tumour Models and Biomarkers at the Head and Neck Research Unit in Liverpool.

Jag is the only UK surgeon to have obtained the college (Royal College of Surgeons of England Research Fellowship), specialty (British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons/Facial Surgery Foundation-Saving Faces Research Fellowship) and faculty (Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons of England Research Fellowship) fellowships. He also completed an Interface Fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead and has an interest in Microvascular Reconstruction with Perforator Free Flaps. He has also recently completed the National Cancer Research Institute Head and Neck Clinical Studies Group Clinical Trials Fellowship.

Jag set up the first Maxillofacial National Trainee Collaborative Project recruiting 6200 patients for a study on standards of consent for surgical procedures and he is a first author published in several book and journals including British Journal of Cancer, Head and Neck and the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Jag is now a Consultant Maxillofacial/Head and Neck Surgeon at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead.

He is conducting research using iKnife technology at Imperial College London where he is an Honorary Senior Lecturer. He recently obtained the Presidents Prize (2017) for his presentation titled ‘iKnife Rapid Evaporative Ionisation Mass Spectrometry (REIMS) Technology in Head and Neck Surgery. A Ex Vivo Feasibility Study.’ This technology allows real time detection of cancer tissue by analysing the smoke generated for surgical cutting instruments such as laser and cutting diathermy. He hopes to develop this technology in a clinical trial using Robotics and Transoral Laser Techniques in Head and Neck cancer ablation.
He started his dental implant training in 2002 with short courses and has subsequently had further exposure to surgical aspects of implant dentistry during his Higher Surgical Training and is competent to place both intraoral and facial extraoral implants. He works at one of the largest practices in the UK with more than 40 dentists exclusively referring all their implant work to him and he has placed more the 3500 implants.

Jag has been a tutor at Dentale for 6 months and joined primarily because of the hands-on course design for assessing surgical competency in Implant Dentistry.

Nurses

Laura Smith

GDC No: 196946


Laura is a qualified dental nurse with several years of implant nursing experience. She has also gained her radiography qualification. Laura trained with the Primary Care Trust working with special needs patients, providing emergency clinics for non registered patients, domiciliary visits and assisted in treatments in hospitals and prisons. Prior to Laura’s nursing career she spent 6 years working in administration and finance gaining qualifications up to NVQ level 3. Laura enjoys walking her dog William, socialising and has a passion for fashion!

Sarah Goodwin

GDC No: 121732

Sarah is the head nurse of our Shrewsbury clinic. She has worked as a dental nurse for over 20 years in general dentistry, and joined our Dentale team in June 2012. Sarah is qualified in conscious sedation and radiography. Her Hobbies include supporting her two sons at playing rugby and enjoys regular keep fit classes.

Ewelina Sosnowska

Ewelina is the Head Nurse of our Bristol clinic. A member of the British Association of Dental Nurses (BADN), Ewelina has worked as a dental nurse since 2006, and achieved NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing from Cardiff University in 2009. Prior to coming on board with Dentale in the summer of 2011, Ewelina gained experience by working in a private dental practice in South Wales, where she originally developed an interest in implant dentistry. Away from the Dentale treatment rooms and surgeries, Ewelina enjoys going to the gym and motor biking.

Amy Fear

Amy is the newest member of our team and is fitting in well. Having worked in general dentistry since 2011, she then decided to expand her knowledge and skills in implantology in a specialist environment. Amy is very keen to learn more, recently starting an impression taking course and will be shortly be enrolled on a post qualification Radiography course.
Amy has recently brought her own home and enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Jason Buglass has been providing implant dentistry since 1993, and has placed thousands of implants since then. He lectures in the UK, having successfully run courses teaching implant dentistry since 2000. He attends national and international congresses and is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology running a midlands based ADI group and Treasurer of the BSOI. He is a member of the European Association of Osseointegration, is an ITI member and a fellow of The Straumann Clinic, University of Berne, Switzerland.

Cheryl Bayliss

Dentale Business Manager

Cheryl’s role is Dentale’s Business Development Manager, where she leads both the Shrewsbury and Bristol teams. Cheryl joined Dentale in November 2013 as a course bookings customer services advisor and since then has taken a keen interest in the world of dentistry. Cheryl’s focus is to maintain the high standard of courses and treatments available at Dentale, whilst also introducing new industry practices and techniques to ensure that both our trainees and clients receive the very best.

Jenna Ramsden

ImplantPilot Clinical Advisor

Jenna has worked in dentistry since 2009. She began working as a trainee dental nurse and receptionist and qualified in 2012. She has worked in a variety of practices doing locuming and progressed to practice management in 2014. She was employed in Dentale in May 2016 after she took a specific interest in Implant dentistry. Jenna has enjoyed expanding her dental knowledge and thrives working in an environment that encourages others to do the same. In her spare time Jenna plays netball and spends time with friends and family.

Heather Finkle

Dentale Bristol Practice Manager

Heather joined us in November 2017 as the Practice Manager in our Bristol clinic. She is qualified as a dental nurse and has 34 years’ experience, twenty of those as a Manager, in both NHS and Private practices.

Outside of work she enjoys travelling and having taken a year out four years ago to go around the world with her husband she is now planning further trips to far flung places to experience new cultures. When not travelling worldwide, Heather spends much of her time travelling the length and breadth of the UK, enjoying the scenery of the green lanes, as well as 4×4 off-roading and rambling. Her slightly less adventurous hobbies include the theatre, listening to local bands and reading.

Jade Plomer

Course Administrator


Jade has been employed in the retail sector since the age of 18, working her way up to assistant manager and gaining qualifications in customer service and relations. However after wanting a change in direction she chose to become involved in the dental industry and joined Dentale in March 2012. She enjoys all aspects of Dentale, from arranging appointments to organising courses and interacting with patients and delegates alike.

Sharon Austin

Lead Receptionist at Dentale Bristol

Sharon has vast amount of work experience, including cover supervisor at a secondary school and front of house manager of a public house in France. More recently she been working as a PA in a large construction firm for 8 years when she decided to take a change in direction and work in a more personable and caring environment. Sharon is a huge animal lover and spends her spare time walking her dogs. Bob, her black Labrador is a registered therapy dog and Bob and Sharon visits a local care home every Wednesday afternoon. Since joining dentale in June 2016 Sharon has enjoyed learning about all aspects of Dentistry and predominantly Implantology.

Rebecca Abell

Lead Patient Co-ordinator - Shrewsbury

Rebecca started at Dentale Shrewsbury in June 2015. Rebecca previously studied and worked in the beauty industry gaining qualifications in beauty therapy and customer services, prior to joining Dentale Rebecca was the lead salon co-ordinator for Walsall college. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, spending time with her family and walking her beautiful West highland terrier Lilly.
